Harley Davidson Winner Announced!

(Garden City, KS)  – Saker Aviation and Avfuel have announced the winner of their Keyed Up Harley Davidson giveaway – Gerardo M. O’Farrill of Colorado.

Gerardo, more affectionately known as Jerry, has been a pilot since 1979, serving the last 13 years with Key Lime Air under the umbrella of UPS. Jerry is Key Lime’s senior freight pilot, traveling between Colorado and Kansas four days a week.

The Keyed Up promotion ran between June 1, 2013 and October 1, 2013 and was open to current AVTRIP members making a minimum purchase of 100 gallons of fuel at Saker Aviation’s Garden City, KS location. A random drawing was used to determine a winner out of the qualifying entries.

“I was just getting off the plane in Garden City,” Jerry said when Jon Crotts handed him one of the blue tickets that were used in the drawing. “Did I drop this? Did I forget to hand in one of the tickets?” Jerry asked. Jon informed him that it was indeed his ticket – The winning ticket. “He said, ‘You won the motorcycle.’ I couldn’t believe it.”

Upon returning home to Colorado, Jerry informed his wife of the winning. “She was very excited,” he said.

After 35 years in the cockpit, Jerry has been to airports all over the country, but Garden City is a special spot for him. “Debbie and Jon are very professional,” he said. “We are very pleased to work with them for all of these years.”
